SIRRI-NA & Co. Participates in the National Conference on the Prevention of Femicide in Cameroon

Barrister Sirri Assumpta, Managing Partner of SIRRI-NA & Co., participated in the National Conference on the Prevention of Femicide, held at the Mont Febe Hotel in Yaoundé.
Organised by AWEP Cameroon under the high patronage of the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family (MINPROFF), the conference brought together representatives of public institutions, the legal profession, international organisations and civil society to examine the causes of femicide and identify concrete measures for prevention, protection, accountability and institutional action.
As part of the Cameroon Bar Association delegation, Barrister Sirri Assumpta contributed to discussions focusing on the legal framework, access to justice for victims and their families, the enforcement of protection orders, and strengthening coordination between justice actors, law enforcement, and support services.
Her contribution highlighted the importance of rigorous legal responses, enhanced judicial remedies, and sustained institutional collaboration to effectively combat gender-based violence and femicide in Cameroon.
